Morgan Currie

Howdy! My name is Morgan and I am a sophomore from Lufkin, Texas. My favorite things are doing calligraphy, drinking coffee, and going to concerts. I'm also always down to go get tacos or pizookies! You can probably find me on my couch binging Netflix, taking care of my plants, or doing some sort of baking! I'm an education major and am so passionate about children learning, but I am even more passionate about reaching others with the gospel!

Why did you join the Pursuit Ministries?

I joined the Pursuit Ministries my freshman year because I wanted to join something atypical compared to other on-campus organizations. For me, I found that in joining a small ministry focused on pouring into others and growing in my walk with the Lord. Pursuit allowed me to have a place where I felt comfortable in being who I am, and connected me with girls who push me to be more like Christ.

What is your favorite bible verse and why?

My favorite verse is Hebrews 6:19, "This hope we hold is an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." This verse reminds me that even when life is crazy, even in the midst of my anxieties, my faith in Christ is what holds me steady.

Words of encouragement for High School/Middle School Girls:

Be so confident in the girl God has created you to be. Especially in High School and Middle School, it is so easy to get caught up in what everyone thinks of you. In the end, the only opinion that truly matters is God's. Know that God adores and treasures you so, so much. Your value is found in your identity in Christ, not in what the world says you should be.
