Hi! My name is Caroline Pierce, and I was born and raised in Plano,Texas. I love hanging out with friends, riding rollercoasters, laughing really hard, playing board games, a good cup of coffee, and watching black and white movies. My favorite food is definitely ice cream (prailines and cream is the best) and a fun fact about me is that my birthday is on Valentine’s Day (but Christmas still wins for favorite holiday). I have three dogs back home as well as two younger brothers and I play the piano!
Why did you join the Pursuit Ministries?
I joined the Pursuit ministries because I believe that community is incredibly important and Pursuit is full of amazing girls who push me to grow deeper in my walk with Christ, as well as providing genuine friendship. I also love the opportunity to be able to mentor a highschool/middle school aged girl because of the blessing that comes from sharing what God has taught me over the years and seeing first hand how He is moving in the life of someone who I have been given the chance to deeply invest in.
What is your favorite bible verse and why?
1 Peter 2:9 is my favorite verse because it simply states the radical truth that we have been brought out of darkness and now get to walk in the joy of the Lords marvelous light. It is a fantastic reminder to live each day in light of the abounding joy we have through the beautiful redemption we don’t deserve yet are freely given.
Words of encouragement for High School/Middle School Girls:
To all my high school/middle school friends: Know that you are not alone. One of the biggest lies we can be sold is that we’re alone. If you are struggling with something, I promise you are not the only one, and once we recognize this, loneliness and shame lose its hold on us. Also, never let anyone question your worth. It is not defined by the world or by the people of the world, your worth has been determined by The God of the universe who created you and loves you with an everlasting and perfect love. Surround yourself with people who remind you of this truth if you start to doubt it.
